Move-Out

We’re committed to making your move-out experience as simple and stress-free as possible. Please review the information below to support a smooth move-out and help maximize your security deposit refund. Security deposits are 100% refundable. 

• Submit a written 30-day notice to CoRental Property Management, Inc. The 30-Day Notice Packet - available here or by DocuSign or at our office - must be signed by all lease holders and includes a detailed Cleaning Checklist outlining the move-out expectations. A forwarding address is required at the time of submitting a 30-Day Notice.
• Please contact our office a minimum of 48 hours before your move-out date to schedule a walkthrough inspection with a Property Manager. During this inspection, the manager will identify any cleaning insufficiencies or damages that could result in security deposit deductions. Montana state law allows 24 hours to address these items, after which a final walkthrough with the tenant will be conducted.
• During the final walkthrough, please return all keys and any remotes, if applicable. CoRental will refund the applicable portion of your security deposit within 30 days. If there are no deductions from the security deposit, it will be refunded within 10 days, give us a call to ask how this works. If a forwarding address is not provided, the deposit refund will be mailed to the last known address on file.
